This part of Guerrilla Sex Ed is really the heart of the site. The reason I was inspired to create it in the first place.
In 2018, A Dirty Word — my reported memoir on how our culture treats female sexuality like a dirty word — was released into the world. Perhaps my favorite part of the book was the appendix, an alphabetical listing of books, websites, organizations, and other resources in the areas of female sexual health, rape culture, and sexuality education.
I love me a good appendix, which is why I spent so much time on mine. My only regret was that I couldn’t constantly update my appendix with the new fantastic resources I inevitably learned about from day to day.
Which is why it eventually became clear that I had to create a living appendix.
This is that living appendix. On these pages, you’ll find books, websites, podcasts, web series, hands-on teaching tools, and advocacy organizations that will help you provide your kids with the best possible sexuality education, whatever they happen to be learning (or not learning) in school.
